The system is basically an alarm system but works externally rather than internally and is designed to prevent intrusion rather than detect it as is the case with a conventional alarm system.
The base station requires a power source to charge its internal batteries (mains or generator) but where there is no supply available it can run off 24 volt leisure batteries.
PIR sensors are located around a development covering entry and exit points, perimeter fencing, compound area, show houses and other high risk areas such as second fix properties. The sensors are continuously patrolling and cover a far greater area than a static guard ever could as each sensor can direct a beam up to 50 metres. The system never falls asleep, goes to the toilet, stops to fill in a report or leave site which may sometimes be the case with static guards.
There is no hard wiring to the sensors as they work remotely via microwaves and have their own internal power source via PP3 or digital batteries and a system can be installed in a matter of hours with no disruption to the client.
Each sensor has its own identification number and when a beam is broken a signal is sent from the sensor to the base station and onto our control centre within seconds showing the exact location on site of possible movement.
The control centre will then despatch the nearest mobile response unit (which can be determined by the GPS satellite system fitted to every vehicle) and can continuously update the responder with further activations directing them to the last activation and thus avoiding the need of an initial site patrol, which can be conducted after investigating the last point of movement.
Secure Guard Ltd will respond to each and every activation at no extra charge to the client, no matter if it is ten activations per night or one hundred and ten activations per night, the service is fully inclusive within the stipulated weekly charge.
Secure Guard Ltd mobile responders will deal with all incidents on behalf of the client and will notify the client on the night when they feel it is absolutely necessary.
Secure Guard Ltd mobile responders will arrest and detain any persons they find committing an arrestable offence in line with their powers under common law unless they are likely to be subjected to harm or injury inline with the companies Health and Safety Policy.
Secure Guard Ltd has a 24 hour a day manned control centre constructed to NACOSS standards equipped with the manufacturers software which means we are able to monitor the status of the entire system and will alert the client if any maintenance is required.
Monitoring covering base station, power supply, batteries condition, diagnostics and other system functions and engineers are alerted well in advance of when a site requires a visit.
Changes to the system settings such as operating timetables may be instigated immediately by way of phone call or fax with password verification. As a matter of course and without fail every client is contacted on a Friday to ascertain the working patterns for the weekends. Alarm activation reports and incident reports are forwarded to the client on request. |
